This week in class we talked a lot about our mums and how special they are! In Literacy, we started to look at how to write a great set of instructions.
I was wondering whether we could combine the two...
Can you write a set of instructions for the perfect mum? Remember to think about the key features of instructions we identified this week (I have listed some below) and think about what it takes to be a superb mum. Maybe you could ask your mums to give you a few ideas; they are the experts after all.
Key features of instruction texts:
An opening
Imperative (bossy) verbs
Time connectives
Written in chronological order
A closing statement
To make a perfect mum you will need some things like: love, care and lots of other things; and to follow the instructions below carefully.

Follow these instructions and you will produce a perfect parent.
You will need for the recipe:
Love and affection
Chocolates
Flowers
Gratefulness
Good behaviour
Willingness
Tea & toast
Listening skills
1. First wake her up with some tea and toast (don't burn your self).
2. Next do every thing your mum says and be good.
3. Then when your mum says good night give her love and affection.
4. Be grateful for everything.
5. After dinner give your mum some chocolates and flowers.
6. Always be willing to help her, even when you're not asked.
7. Listen very carefully and do what she says.
Warning if you don't follow these instructions your Mum may explode!!!

What you will need:a bucketful of love, a bowlful of care, a handful of helpfulness, lots of cooking skills and cleaning skills, a plateful of hugging power and a beautiful smile.
What to do:
1. First, take a mother and squeeze LOADS of love.
2. Next, pour on some care.
3. Then, mix some handfuls of helpfulness.
4. After that, toss in many cooking and cleaning skills.
5. Thereafter, scatter a plateful of hugging power.
6. Finally, sprinkle a beautiful smile.
A final note of encouragement
Don't forget to add a few drops of patience and fairness.

ReplyDeleteIf you are a mum and you want to be the best, don’t worry because help is at hand. With these clever instructions you really can become an outstanding mum.
First, listen to your children, they will be telling you something important. If you are lucky they may listen back.
Next, cook your children nutritious meals and make sure they have a healthy diet to help them grow.
Always make sure your children get to school on time.
Then, you must help your children do their homework, if they ask you to.
Every night make sure you read your children a story before bed.
On special occasions you must take your children to a restaurant that they choose.
Give your children good advise so that they can achieve their goals.
At all times you must be patient with your children, they are learning too.
A good mother must always cheer her children up when they are sad. Hugs and kisses are best for this.
Finally, and most importantly, you must always give your children lots of hugs and kisses so that they know you love them.
If you make sure that you follow these instructions carefully then you will certainly be the perfect mum.

How to make the perfect mother
ReplyDeleteDo you want the perfect mother? Well, no need for rummaging around any more. You have picked up the right set of instructions. Now, for the perfect mother...
What you need:
500g love, 500g sacrifice, 110g joy, 300g hugs, 500g care, 200g cuddles, 200g self-raising flower, a pinch of strictness to taste, 500g of compassion, 500g patience, a cuddle beater, a spoon, a bowl, a loven and loven mitts.
What you do:
First, preheat the loven to 200°C.
Then, mix together the love, sacrifice and care with a spoon, and keep it in a bowl to the side.
Next, beat together the cuddles, hugs and patience for the batter.
After that, mix the two separate mixtures thoroughly.
Following that, mix in some self-raising flower, add the pinch of strictness, then the compassion and put in the loven (use loven mitts).
Then, take it out very carefully and sprinkle some joy on top.
Finally, mould into shape of your mother and leave to dry. After about 2 hours, you will have a perfect mother.

Remember to always do it from the heart if you want the best results.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever sat down one morning because you are tired of your mum sitting near the computer and doing office work instead of playing with you? Well help is at hand. Read these set of instructions to make your boring mum into a nice, cheerful mum.
Ingredients: about half a litre of caring, some cuddles and hugs (I would say at least 250ml of that.) 600ml of peace and quiet. 500ml of helping, but the most important bit is 2 litres of continuous love.
What you need to do:
First get a large cup.
Next, one by one insert all the mentioned ingredients into the glass.
Then stir well and carefully until it becomes like a juicy kind.
After that expose the drink to the air until it comes to room temperature.
Finally, once the drink is done, carefully hand it over to your mum. That is how to make your mum a perfect mum. Spectacular! Your mum is gleeful and abandons her office work and comes to play with you! Why don’t you give it a try and let me know the results!
Final note of warning: Remember to expose the glass for at least 20 minutes, but if you could expose it for longer that is great! Remember, the more time you expose it, the more perfect your mum would be!

What you need:
*70% of water and and some clay,
*A bag full of love,
*A bag full of patientnes,
*Spoon,
*Knife,
*Big bowl,
*Body super glue,
*2 eyeballs,
*1 lip,
*2 ears,
*1 nose
*(all the pars of your body)
*(all the bones)and
*handful of helpnes
What to do:
1)First,with your clay do a model of a Mother.
2)Next you pour the water on your body.
3)Then you cut the body in 1/2 and add the bones inside.
4)After that with your body super glue stick the 2 pieces together.
5)When you finish that you have to stick the parts of the body on to the model and mix the bag of patientnes and love together.
6)Finally you put the model and the bag of patientnes and love in the bowl and mix it up.
7)Now you got a perfect mother have fun!!!!!!
