Winter acrostic poems


Can you write an acrostic poem based on a winter theme? An example is shown below. You don’t have to just use the word winter for your poem, it is up to you!
Wonderful snow
Icicles hanging
Never falling
Trees covered in snow
Excited for spring
Remembering winter is fun

    Dear Miss Joliffe,

    For my homework this week I have come up with the acrostic poem ‘Christmas’ because winter makes me really think about Christmas. Here it is: -

    Come out and play on this wonderfully special day.
    Have a nice time having tremendously loads of fun!
    Run around and meet new enthusiastic friends!
    It’s a happy, joyful and merry time of year.
    Santa Claus is on his way to deliver lots of nicely wrapped presents.
    Try to be as good as gold, so that you can receive lots of presents
    Mostly relaxing because the children are on a comfortable holiday.
    A wonderful time to be with family and friends
    Singing Christmas carols all day long.

    Sparkling baubles on a Christmas tree

    Nativity plays, children singing in glee

    Ovens ready for the turkey roast

    Winter snow - I love the most

    Frost covering everything in sight

    Look who's climbing down the chimney tonight

    A lovely holiday with your father and mother

    Kids throwing snowballs at each other

    End of one year, beginning of a new

    Winter is on it`s way.
    I can`t wait until St Nick gives me presents.
    Now if it`s Christmas it means that schools do Cristmas plays.
    Think about Jesus Christ who was born for you on Christmas night.
    Even if you don`t get a Cristmas present whats the point you got your family and friends with you.
    Round you go skeeing around.

    Snow is falling, what shall we do?
    Now it`s snowing why don`t we make a SNOWMAN!
    One snowman was melting and the other was surviving.
    When we were all finished we had a warm cup of tea sitting by the fire.
    My dad helped us make a snowman.
    And when it was night we all said
    Night Night .
    So while we were asleep all of the snowman's came alive..next day is a mystery.

    Snow is falling gently,
    Now there is cold,hard ice,
    On Christmas I open my presents,
    When it snowing children are playing in it,
    Falling snowflakes are patterned .
    Little parts of ice are everywhere,
    At Christmas Eve I put up my Christmas tree up,
    Kids are happy as can be,
    Everyone is ready for the day that Jesus Christ was born,
    Some things are covered in this cold snow.
