Data Handling

Last week in Downing Street class we were looking at data handling and we created our own bar graphs and line graphs. Below is a graph about Year 3's favourite subjects. What does the bar graph tell you?

11 comments:

  1. The graph shows that the most favourite subject is P.E. The least favourite subject is Design and Technology. The graph has recorded 60 people in total. The 2nd favourite subject is Literacy. The 2nd least favourite subjects are History and R.E.

    1. I like that you have identified how many people were involved in this survey altogether.

  2. This vertical bar graph shows favourite subjects along the x-axis and the number of Year 3 students along the y-axis. Each interval on the y-axis represents 2 pupils.

60 pupils participated in the survey.

The favourite subject is PE, which has been voted for by 15 pupils - a quarter of the total participants - and is 4 votes clear of the next favourite one, Literacy (11 votes). Science is the third most popular subject with 7 votes, followed closely by Numeracy (6 votes) and Art (5 votes).

The least favourite subject is Design and Tech., which is a favourite with only 2 pupils.

RE and History are tied with 3 votes each, and so are Geography and Music with 4 votes each…ISHAAN
