Describing a setting
Over recent weeks we have been looking at how to describe familiar settings. I have posted a photo of a setting below. Can you write a short description of the place? Remember to think about what you might be able to see, hear, smell if you were there.
Think of wow adjectives and put them into sentences. Make you description vivid!

ReplyDeleteThe ducks are waddling to their lovely shimmering pond. The field looks like a restful area to relax in and to play in. It looks very calm for the ducks to waddle in and the people to swim in it. Crystal

ReplyDeleteThese descriptions are wonderful, I can sit and imagine what it would be like to take a walk in such a beautiful place. I especially like the fact that I can focus on sounds and smells as well as the things I would see.

ReplyDeleteThis scenic, panorama reminds me of the serene tranquillity of the lake in Painshill Park that I visited with my class in Reception. The mirror-like surface of the lake is reflecting the dense and lush greenery surrounding it, and the drooping branches of the trees seem to be looking at their own reflection. The ducks seem to be marching in a single file unlike their friends in the lake that are creating tiny ripples in the otherwise undisturbed water. The bright yellow leaves of the tree standing out against the dark green foliage, and the blue sky in the background, look like landscape painting to me. In summary this picture gives me a warm and pleasant feeling, and makes me thankful to God for creating this...ISHAAN

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a beautiful lake surrounded by deep forest. There are some happy ducks enjoying the sunshine. The shining water and the lush green trees makes you feel calm and happy. The surface of the lake looks like a mirror that reflects all lovely things like clouds and trees. This picture reminds me more of the Osterley Park where I had a lovely picnic with my family last year.

The sparkling water is being evaporated by the hot shining sun a few silly cheeky ducks have found there way out on to the fresh green grassy steep hill the healthy lovely coloured trees are being swayed dramatically by the windy tropical breeze this would be a magnificent and peaceful place to be I would bring some bread for the ducks incase they starve to death (die of hunger) the trees reflection it visible in water but a bit squiggly. Thats my report I apologise its a bit late by!
