As we start to think about moving into a new year group, it is a good time to consider what has been great about Year 3 and what we love about our very special class.
So, for this weeks post, I would love you to share your thoughts on 'The best things about Downing Street...'
You could write this in a poem, notes, put it into a story- whatever your imagination thinks is best.
My best thing about Downing Street is....... All of you!
I look forward to seeing what you have to say!
Now it's the time we nearly leave,
ReplyDeleteI hope you have enjoyed everything,
It's nearly time to say goodbye,
But my bestest thing about Downing street is you.
I have enjoyed everything this year! What is most favourite memory?
DeleteDowning Street Class are the best!
ReplyDeleteOur teacher is the lovely Miss Jolliffe.
We are funny, caring, and sensible.
Nothing can stop us from trying our best!
It's fantastic to be in this class.
Nobody is rude or mean.
Great trips we go on, like Butser Ancient Farm.
So you can see, we all are friends.
Thinking about others is one of our rules, and nobody gets left out.
Running around, we all play together.
Eight or seven, it doesn't matter about our age.
Excellent people are we, and excellent work we write!
The most intelligent people aren't intelligent for what they know, but for using their imagination. - a quote by Albert Einstein.
I love being in Downing Street because we have Miss Jolliffe as our teacher. She teaches us all the things we need to know and explains everything carefully. She's also very funny and always lifts my mood whenever something's bothering me.
Another reason is that Miss Jolliffe is the ICT coordinator and ICT is my favourite subject, so we're the always the first ones to get to know about anything new with the computers.
Anyway, Downing Street is my favourite class and whoever Miss Jolliffe is going to teach next is very lucky.

I love that Albert Einstein quote!

Downing Street Poem
ReplyDeleteDowning Street is amazing.
Our classroom is immaculate (sometimes)
We all do our best to be kind
Now our year is nearly over we are sad
I like my classmates
New people feel welcome
Games we play are fun
Spelling tests are every Friday
Trying to learn is great
Reading new stories is brilliant
Every day we find out something new
Every one is awesome
Thank you Miss Joliffe for a great year!

DeleteMy favourite thing about year 3 is when I met all my freinds and had a nice teacher. Even though i had quite a hard time in some lessons e.g: science and literacy i still had a wonderful time working hard in class and playing with my friends. I also got some other friends from a lot of other classes. There was a new person in big ben and i became friends with him. I also have about infinity friends in downing street. There names are amari, nathan, bartosz, sidney, elson, anthony and much more!
ReplyDeleteYou are very lucky to have so many lovely friends!

DeleteDear Miss Jolliffe,
ReplyDeleteHere is what I think of my class:
My class Downing Street is the best,
I’ll be missing Friday’s Maths and Spelling test.
The amazing Science Fair - I loved the most,
We’ve done many other things also that we can boast.
Miss Jolliffe is the best teacher one can ever wish,
Ever so caring and loving - someone who we’ll always cherish.
Always bringing out the best in us, our source of inspiration,
Helping us make the right choices, and take the right decision.
Literacy, ICT, Maths, and Science are my favourite ones,
All of these subjects help my knowledge enhance.
Not to mention FT and also PE with Mr Hunting,
In the past few months we have all progressed in swimming.
The exciting and educative school trips were so full of fun,
Playtimes in school with friends, playing football in the sun. Learnt Recorder through the Year, can’t wait for the concert,
Everything we do in class we do it from our heart.
Now I’m feeling nostalgic, that Year 3 has come and gone,
All the treasured memories shall be there to look back upon.
So goodbye, Miss Jolliffe we’ll be missing you forever,
Farewell Downing Street, as I look forward to another year!

DeleteOnce there was a boy called Nathan who was in a class called Downing Street. He was scared because it was his last day in year 3 and because he had his sports day. The sports he was doing were football and tennis. He got changed into his shirt and shorts he lined up next to his best friend, Billy. He went outside and his first sport to play was football.
ReplyDeleteHe started to dribble the ball an just like Ronaldo, he scored and GOAL!!! It was 1-0 to the Green Team. The next sport to play was tennis and his opponent was Siddarth. Nathan wacked the ball and it shot it past Siddarth, he couldnt hit it back so Nathan WON!!! He was the champion of Sports Day.
Obviously, my favourite thing about year 3 is Sports Day.
You all competed so well and it was great to see you cheering each other on.
